Kick-Off Event Recap!

This event was co-hosted by our UCI ECCLPs Campus Task Force co-chairs, Garrett Hurley (UCI Sustainability Resource Center) and Jennifer Cao (UCI Science Project) at the University of California, Irvine Research Park.

Along with our co-chairs, we would like to thank all the UC Irvine faculty and staff across all departments along with PK-12 regional school teachers for connecting over climate, environmental, and sustainable efforts with ECCLPs! We look forward to bringing the campus and schools together again at the next event!

Event Recap

Participants had opportunities to…

  • Hear more about current campus grants and initiatives to get involved.

  • Participate in audio interviews to support the on-going Task Force project.

  • Engage in group activities to support interdisciplinary discussions.

  • Encourage cross-disciplinary projects and collaboration opportunities.

  • Connect with local PK-12 teachers for transdisciplinary projects and collaborations.

  • Build and or/sustain relationships with UCI faculty and staff across schools for potential partnerships.
